Meet the Expert:
McGavock Edwards
Account Manager
What was your "finest moment," the thing you're most proud of?
Probably my finest moment so far is the successful completion of accreditation in public relations (APR). It was a yearlong process during which I transformed from a practitioner to a counselor. The APR program, while rigorous, was absolutely rewarding because I truly learned how to look critically at an issue or opportunity and develop integrated communications strategies that achieve measureable goals.
What attracted you to IMRE?
The enthusiasm and drive of the folks at IMRE is unmatched by most in the marketing world. Who wouldn't want to work with a group of people who love what they do and are amazing at it?
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
Ask questions. Then listen...listen...listen.
What makes a great brand?
One that asks what the consumer needs then delivers flawlessly every time. Add commitment, engagement and a plethora of benefits and you've got one exceptional brand.
What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could play more than "Heart and Soul" on the piano.
What's your favorite sports team?
My fellow North Carolinians would likely disown me if I didn't enjoy ACC basketball. The team I cheer for the hardest? The UNC Tarheels, of course.
What frustrates you the most?
Someone not following through on what they've agreed to do.
What's your favorite TV program and your least favorite?
My favorite show of all time was The West Wing. The characters were smart, the dialogue even smarter. (My penchant for it might have something to do with the fact that in college I had aspirations of being the White House communications director.) Least favorite - any sport other than ACC basketball.
What do you do for fun?
I love being a mom and wife.
