Meet the Expert:
Crystalyn Stuart
Vice President, Social Marketing
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
I’m a whiteboard addict. I also make frequent use of charts, graphs and other poorly drawn
diagrams. It’s my way of making sure every client solution we develop is attached to a goal we can measure.
What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could remember all my passwords by heart.
Is there any food that helps you think more creatively?
Jolly Time Healthy Pop Kettle Corn (98% fat free). I eat it every day for breakfast and swear by it.
What got you into this business in the first place?
I always just believed in the power of people to influence one another through their
personal recommendations. So, with the increased popularity of online social networks, tools and user-generated
Web sites, I saw a great opportunity to help pioneer programs that fuse old-school recommendations
with new skool Web channels.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I’m a New Yorker, so I have to go with the Islanders. (Even though we haven’t had a
good season since the 80’s).
What attracted you to IMRE?
I wanted a longer commute. Really, I wanted to work at a place where leadership supports and
empowers staff to do ridiculously amazing things while keeping the ship steady. I knew IMRE was
that place from minute one.
Tell us about your pets
I’m probably the only vegetarian on the planet who doesn’t like animals.
What makes a great brand?
A great brand doesn’t just take the pulse of its consumer now and again,
but it deeply connects with consumers consistently. Great brands find ways to converse with their
audiences and improve their offering through customer feedback.
What are your favorite Web sites?
If you forced me to give my top five I would have to go with the daily-must-have
Facebook, the utilitarian Bank of America online banking services, my friends at Google who make
life worth living, stumbleupon, and Pandora (thank God for Pandora).
