Meet the Expert:
Denise Kitchel
Vice President, Marketing & Client Relations
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
Combine active listening with a lot of Diet Coke...then go for a jog. I
may get a patent for that one.
What was growing up like for you?
Nonstop talking. As the youngest of five, I never had a shortage of
people around with opinions to share.
The secret to a great brand is...
Great people.
What attracted you to IMRE?
The people—smart (yet without the pomp), driven, focused and caring.
What more could you ask for?
What's your favorite sports team?
I migrate to the individual sports. Tennis player Roger Federer is an all-time
favorite—perhaps for obvious reasons.
Is there any food that helps you think more creatively?
Green tea keeps me focused and in that Zen place where good ideas are cultivated.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I love the symphony, art museums, travel, good food and wine—anything cultural.
What do you like most about working at IMRE?
The freedom to take chances—and a supportive, focused, collaborative team.
What got you into this business?
I started on the publicity side in Manhattan with a huge publishing house, promoting
well-known authors and their books. While I loved the energy, I craved a broader focus—more communications
channels, more products and services. I ended up in the agency world which, BTW, is the perfect place for a
Liberal Arts major!
